G.I.F.T. (Gourmet International Food Trading) Ltd. is an importer/distributor company operating nationwide in Hungary. Our team is experienced in distributing premium food products both in the RETAIL and the HORECA segment.
We are eager to define the latest consumer needs, and to further develop our business with introducing new products. Our goal is to extend our product range with high quality, premium products.
G.I.F.T. Ltd. was founded in 2000 by three Hungarian private persons who that time already had ten years experience in both the modern trade and wholesale distribution of international food brands.
Our current portfolio includes: Lindt chocolate tablets and pralines, Dilmah teas, Lorenz snacks, Vivil candies, The Belgian pralines, Juicee Gummee gummies, Caffé Vergnano Italian espresso coffee and LaMolisana pasta.
A team of some 20 experienced employees enables G.I.F.T. to provide nationwide distribution.
Our salesforce includes 2 key account managers, 1 filed sales manager, 5 retail sales and 5 Horeca sales representatives covering 1.200 retail and 500 Horeca outlets.
Next to our own team we employ external merchandizers to manage our shelves in hypermarkets. Our contracted wholesalers are covering an additional number of cca. 2.000 independent retail outlets.
In the retail segment we focus our sales to hypermarkets, local and international supermarkets, Cash & Carries, convenience outlets, petrol stations and wholesalers, reaching 40-65% of weighted distribution.
We have got contracts and listings at all the major accounts, thus we deliver to the following chains:
- Cash&Carries - Metro
- Hypermarkets - Auchan, InterSpar, Tesco,
- International supermarkets – Spar, Tesco
- Hungarian chains - Coop Hungary, CBA, Reál Hungária
- Petrol stations - MOL (Hungarian Oil), Shell, OMV, Agip, Lukoil
- Drogeries – Rossmann and pharmacies
- Convenient stores, newsstands (Relay) & private wholesalers.
In the HORECA segment we work both directly and in co-operation with wholesalers. Our customers include prestigious restaurants and hotels like Hilton, Le Meridien, Intercontinental, Kempinski, Marriot etc. In this segment our prime focus is on the Dilmah tea, Caffé Vergnano coffee and some of the Lindt products.
Our policy is to work exclusively on the domestic market, and to build the market of the brands with outmost attention, focus and respect. Our mission is to provide the highest quality services to the benefit of our customers and suppliers.
